Cat of the Month
Honey
a happy ending cat tale
Early in September, I was walking down
my road and noticed a cat running
across the road and into a culvert. Then I began to see it darting here and
there
between our place and our neighbors. One evening I saw her and I called to her
and...
she came running over! She was not the feral cat I thought she was, but a sweet
kitty
(not that ferals AREN'T sweet!!!) that had probably been abandoned. I began
carrying food
and feeding her whenever I saw her and contacted a no-kill cat organization to
try and find
her a home, as my 3 hardly like each other and they are all related.

Well, one morning, I was carrying a can
of food, and I saw the kitty across the road.
She saw me and headed over just as a car came down the road. I held up my hand
and
the car stopped, and the kitty continued towards me to be fed. The very
nice lady in the car
pulled over and got out. Just then, her husband happened along in a truck! I
asked them if
they knew anyone who might like a nice, friendly kitty, and they conferred and
decided that
THEY would adopt her themselves!
So the very nice Hersom family adopted
the kitty, named her Honey, and
got her all her shots and had her spayed, so, this was a very
happy ending for the little abandoned kitty!
